Hi,
I’m Pedro Gomes, a 27 year old Software Engineer with a Master’s degree (in Software Engineering) who enjoys programming and technology.
I’ve completed my studies at ISEP (Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto) in Porto - Portugal, where I currently live.
During my college education I worked professionally for approximately two years using mainly .NET Core, SQL Server, Azure DevOps, Angular & Ionic.
Computer Graphics is a field of great interest to me. Being able to visualize how math behaves is fascinating, especially when you’re behind the code. With that said, most of my personal projects are within this area, where I use graphics APIs such as Vulkan, OpenGL and underlying technologies that come along.
Nowadays most of my time is spent working with Flutter. A framework capable of developing high performance mobile applications for both Android and iOS as well as for the Web and Desktop (Windows, macOS and Linux). My master’s dissertation project was a mobile application for the Gig Economy, and it focused on a new approach for workers to communicate with their customers. It was build with Flutter and the Flutter ecosystem. I always try to develop considering best practices and scalability and usually resort to the framework ecosystem to use reliable code and speed up development.
Aside from programming, if I had to iterate through other things I enjoy doing, sports would definitely appear first. If you want to go for a long hike, swim, or run, and need a partner, give me a call, the more adventurous the offer the faster I’ll accept.
